Jsou dvě možnosti, jak změnit MOTD serveru, nejjednodušší možností je úprava souboru server.properties. Druhou možností je instalace pluginu, který poskytuje více možností jako například jiné MOTD pro každého hráče nebo přidání tabulky po najetí na počet hráčů.

Nastavení MOTD v server.properties

Nastavení MOTD přes plugin

Existuje celá řada pluginů které umí nastavit MOTD a zároveň mají spoustu dalších funkcí.
V tomto návodu využijeme plugin MiniMOTD.
